Piano Restoration
Preliminary Evaluation
All of our rebuilds begin with an in-person evaluation. We assess your piano thoroughly and provide a written estimate of the cost, timeline, and scope of work. This ensures that both our clients and rebuilders are on the same page. At this stage, we also discuss and make decisions on customizing your piano to suit you.
Written Quote
Our quotes are valid for 3 months and include a detailed breakdown of the work and costs involved.
Workshop
The restoration begins with moving your piano to our workshop, where we meticulously take it apart and begin our work. The depth and scope of each project varies depending on many factors such as historical value, case work, budget, and pianistic needs.
Progress Updates
Restoration timelines are measured in months, and we keep piano owners updated with photos throughout the process.
Final Touches
The final stage prior to delivery includes tuning, regulation, and voicing to achieve a beautiful tone and touch. While much of this is done in the workshop, we often make the final tonal adjustments in the client's home to ensure the piano sounds its best in its intended space.
