Onsite Action Regulation

Action regulation is the process of adjusting and aligning all of the moving parts, lubricating friction points, and tightening the piano action so that the mechanism performs at its peak capacity.

 

Action regulation consists of approximately 25 adjustment steps and typically includes:

 

  • Key levelling

  • Hammer line and height

  • Hammer-to-string alignment

  • Escapement

  • Drop motion

  • Repetition engagement

  • Back checking
